Jessica Smith will take part in a panel on “Feast and Famine: The Economics of Healthcare in a Pandemic” from 4:30–5:30 p.m. CT on September 21. Panelists will analyze the economic impact of the pandemic on healthcare providers, including lost revenue from the cessation and decrease of elective procedures and other nonemergency health services, and legal and practical considerations for resuming these services. Panelists also will explore the types of assistance government, hospitals, and health systems can provide practitioners in their networks.
